My Commitment to Safety

As a sleep consultant, my first priority is your baby’s safety. All the sleep coaching and routine advice I provide is built upon the evidence-based "Safer Sleep" guidelines established by leading experts.

The Gold Standard: Safer Sleep Guidelines

I am a proud advocate for the life-saving work of The Lullaby Trust. To ensure your baby is sleeping as safely as possible, I recommend all parents follow these essential core principles:

  • Sleep on the Back: Always place your baby on their back for every sleep, day and night.

  • Clear Cot Policy: Keep your baby’s sleep space clear of pillows, duvets, cot bumpers or soft toys. A firm, flat, waterproof mattress is all they need.

  • Smoke-Free Environment: Keeping your baby smoke-free during pregnancy and after birth significantly reduces risks.

  • Room Sharing: The safest place for a baby to sleep for the first six months is in a separate cot or Moses basket in the same room as you.

  • Temperature Control: Ensure your baby doesn't get too hot. A room temperature of 16–20°C with appropriate light bedding or a sleep bag is ideal.

Helpful Resources for Parents

I highly encourage all my clients to explore the comprehensive, research-backed guides provided by The Lullaby Trust. These resources are invaluable for any new parent:

The information provided on this website is for educational and supportive purposes. While I align my methods with the safer sleep guidelines provided by The Lullaby Trust and the NHS, my advice is not a substitute for professional medical care. Always consult your GP or health visitor if you have concerns about your baby’s health or safety.
